But not the Elantra 15x6 alloys -they foul the tierod ends and front hubs unless you machine them to clear.
Do you have Elantra steels fitted?

MGA wheels are the same, if you have access to old Morris Minors, you probably are near an old MGA as well.

Good Luck!

Hi Allan

Triumph TR2 thru to TR6 had the same PCD as the MG Range, just move the car at night and wear a disguise, but I would have thought MGB wheels are the easiest, everybody seems to wants alloys or Chrome wire wheels on their car.

No Fletch, standard wheels only. I read that the older Elantra wheels had a very similar pattern to original Magnette wheels, just needed some work to fit the hubcaps, and bolted straight on.
How's "Sophia' going?

Re #10
Michael -
Possible that the Elantra wheels thing originated with me long ago, but I never had any back then, was book learnin'.
I did get a couple sets of the alloys, as I said.
I know some guys did it and confirmed my thoughts.
I think Jose in Portugal wound up using Elantra steel wheels after repeated failures of OE ones on his rally car.
I plan to go fetch some steel ones for winter tyres as soon as I get my latest car mobile.

One for the Elantra wheel experts - will the centre of the wheel fit straight over the Magnette hub?.

The alloys will not; I do not know about the steel wheels.
The Magnette/MGA hubs are horrid lumps, and a little machining would improve them greatly. I'll be doing some here quite soon, and I know somebody on your side has done it, don't recall who just now.
Since the fashion now is "hubcentric" wheels, i suspect the steel wheels require the same fettling.

Also as I said, the alloys just foul the tierod ends. This is small but significant. It is possible that changing the rod ends might solve it. Otherwise, it would take some rework of the steering arms.

We live in interesting times, if we can find some Elantra wheel experts. I can't even find any wheels locally.
