Hello,
I am thinking of getting one, just for the looks....I love that vintage feel they have.
Anyone here, that has one in use? I´d like know how and where it would make sense to mount them....most likely near the carbs I guess....
But where? If possible at all, I don´t want to drill new holes.
Cheers,
Wolf

Wolf, maybe using existing drilled holes on the car. then making a bracket that mounts off of them, then mounts your Malpassi. Our production race cars more often than not require our creativity, I think that is what attracted me, and many others to them, there was no clear path to make a production race car, one had make it up as they went.
I'll give a more recent example. I needed a proper oil breather catch can for my MGB vintage race car, the store bought goodies bored me, I wanted something unique well kind of In early days when I started racing, more often than not, a oil catch/breather can, which was required by the rules, was a after thought, an old oil can zipped tied to the car to meet the rules, and then remained on the car for years to come. These after thoughts inspired my idea for my oil breather catch tank. A friend gave me his father's collection of old, but never opened Marvel Mystery Oil cans, one day they caught my eye, and from there was my inspiration to elevate an old idea. Here's what I came up with. Maybe some of this rambling will inspire you with an idea for your Malpassi, which I agree with you. screams of automotive art.
Interesting blog you have sir.

Wolf, I'm using one. I made a aluminum bracket drilled three 3/16 holes to mount it to. I too enjoy the vintage look!!!

As others have shown...I think it helps to have the Filter/Regulator up around the level of your carbs...and certainly not dressing the fuel lines so that it impedes flow?
Happy with mine in my MGC
