The TF indicator switch is described as having adjustable timing, I can find no reference as to how this is carried out. Perhaps the timer on my switch is no longer working as it returns immediately the hand is removed.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Screw in the very back, usually the leather washer has dried out.

It can be pulled apart, soaked and may swell enough to work, if not, they are available.

That is correct. Its a pneumatic device with a piston, spring and controlled air leak. You control the air leak to get the required timing. It can be taken apart and reassembled with care. As Peter says, lubricate the leather washer and check the adjustment screw is working correctly.

Thank you Peter and Dave, took the switch apart, cleaned the leather washer, lubricated it with 'Vaseline' as I have no Silicone grease.
Put back together all working as it should.

Their a pain in the butt and I opened mine up so no restriction. They stay on too long or not enough for varying situations and to me work better manually, turn it on and off by hand. I have a buzzer under the dash when blinking, you can't see the light indicator in the day time anyway, so even that isn't much help. PJ

My TF switch on my 55 that I had fifty years ago worked as designed. My switch on my present 54 cancels immediately. I think I liked the delay better, so I'll clean and lube.

Still love them, but sold the last one I'll have.
