Is there any documentation out there for these 2 rear engine plates?

3 Main
5 Main with 4 syncro.

I am looking to fabricate a love child of these two.

I can duplicate any of these plates in Alloy as well as plates for T5 trans. What are you actually wanting to do?

I have a 3 main engine mated to a 4 syncro. transmission. Not all the bolts line up. The outside profile of the plate and the transmission do not match 100 percent. I would like to machine or buy a plate that does.

There is not an original plate for that combination. The late 5 main plate has a larger central hole, which does not have the oil return notch machined in it. Your best bet would be to have someone like Dave fabricate a hybrid plate.

3 main to 4 sync requires other changes than just the rear engine plate.

Rob, the hybrid alloy plate is essentially a 3-main plate with the trans mounting of a 4-synchro plate. It maintains starter location in position to engage the 3-main FW, has no crank seal etc, Use a modern gear reduction high torque starter and no relief required in the trans bell for a pull-in type Bendix.

I will be in touch, when I am ready. The 3 main was running with the 4 syncro OD Someone had cut up the transmission housing for the starter. And turned down the input shaft. I had my MG guy rebuild the transmission. and replace the housing. So now I have a beautiful 4 syncro OD with a 3 main input shaft. Next is the back plate. It will be a nice marriage when done.

With enough money spent ,probably not. Whether it would be noticed on the street in typical use , probably.
