Just wondering if anyone has any information on the condition of driver & car involved in a wreck at Schenley Park turn 17, last Sunday.
I saw the last part of the wreck as well as the second car coming through and clipping the MGA's RF.
I'm pretty sure the A was from the Schafer family's stable.
I have heard that the car was pretty badly bent.

If you are talking about the feature race I came up on the two cars while they were still moving. Unfortunately my cam had shut itself off so I have no footage of the event. The cars did not seem that badly bashed but I was focused on the track. I heard nothing regarding anyone being taken to hospital for exams.

From our vantage point, the car didn't appear to be hurt too badly. However, the corner workers at that station said it was "totaled" (their word, not mine). I suspect it sustained heavy damage to the LF suspension and may have had frame damage, as well.
The driver appeared to be just fine, although it took a while before he began to move in the car, after the crash.

Like I said, "their word, not mine". I know that virtually ANY wrecked car can be rebuilt/restored. Just takes time & money...........

Front suspension is all removable and replaceable, frame can be straightened or cut and rewelded, fenders can be replaced. It takes a lot to "total" a body on frame race car.

I was behind Michael and caught it a few seconds after it happened. You can't see much in the video aside from two cars on the side of the road.
Based on what we've rebuilt, "totaled" seems a little extreme.
