Hi. I'm new to the forum, so if this question has been well covered please let me how to find the thread.
I'm looking forward to doing the structural work on the sills on a '57 MGA 1500, but am looking for current advice on who offers the most accurate (fit and stamping details) sill and pillar assembly / components. An original final appearance is important to me.
Thanks in advance!
Eric

Sports & Classics in CT has some sets left which are of excellent quality (just a few sets left), but they are a bit more expensive than what you'll find at other vendors:

Also, you can do a search for previous threads on this topic, just click on the "Search" icon at the top and enter your search terms.
(p.s.: I have no link to S&C.)

Eric,
Sports and classics sills are good, used them on my car. Generally happy with them, outline dimensions were very good, to my eye could have used a little more "volume" i.e. smaller radius?
I think these are also the ones Barney used in his restoration shown on his site.
Carl Heidman at Eclectic Motorworks used to sell outer sills that he would modify on a jig based on an original NOS sill.
Paul at Sports Car Craftsmen may have these at this point as he has all of Eclectic Motorworks MGA jigs. and I have purchased several parts from him, all excellent. I'd give him a call.
Clarks Spares has very accurate inner sills. A & B posts are probably better repaired although I would be curious to see what Kilmartin produces as they have a good reputation.
Here is a pic of my sill with the Sports and Classic outer sill. Compare it to the fender with original untouched (un-repaired) dog-leg. I think the sill needed a touch more volume.

2X with John
I ordered Moss sills part number 457-800 & 457-810 for my 59. Very shoddy workman ship. I had to rework both of them. About that time Bob K. bobs77vet) posted how he made his own. Do a search to see how he did it.
Beautiful work. But then again Bob does everything with high skills. Good man and friend.

Thanks all.
Yes, the car spent its life in the Minneapolis suburbs, and that took a toll. In its favor are known history since new and all original except for same color repaint.
I didn't explain correctly the parts I need to source. I will include a picture of what I am looking for.
Thanks for the help!

I purchased sills from sports and classics, I don't believe they were 30+ Years old as showed no signs of rust in the seam when I split them to reshape , light coating of seemingly too fresh red oxide on the outside of them, they were too narrow at the rear by 1/4 which is less than other sellers of some sills are, mga that folk restore these days fall into same trap of just welding them on then finding out that the rear of the door sticks out length was perfect, still probably one of the best sills out there but cheap they aren't.
OEW is my car
Blue is an "A" with the classic mistake, note how sill at rear is seriously short on width so looks like door is misaligned , note:- new B pillars are short on width too which doesn't help the situation

I bought mine from Jaguar by Jorge, out of San Diego. He also has an ebay presense ...
I saw this note on one of Jorge's ebay postings: "WE ARE SELLING ALL OUR INVENTORY AT REDUCED PRICES, BECAUSE AFTER 45 YEARS IN BUSINESS, WE ARE CLOSING THE FACTORY AND ENDING THE GREAT RUN WE HAD, MAKING THESE CLASSIC CAR PARTS..."
There may be some good buys there.
