1979 MG MGB
This is a general comment, but as an owner of a couple of MGB's I guess I'll post here.

This site has been a most valuable resource to me over the last several months. Back in May my wife suddenly decided we should by a better B so we could enjoy it. We found the ideal candidate (1979 MGB) for a good price and clinched the deal the next day. Found the car here on this site.

As part of that deal I agreed to sell the 1967 B which I have been storing for 21 years to make room. Listed it yesterday on this site and looks like it is already sold.

I upgraded recently to silver membership. I have been a lurker and then a member for a while, decided it was time to pony up. Not only have I bought and sold cars through MGExp, I have learned a tremendous amount from the experts and not so experts on the forums. Any problems or issues I come across with my car will have been seen before by another member.

C'mon y'all, if you find this site any where near as valuable as I have, please become a paying member. $25 is nothing compared to what I get from this site.

Just my 2 cents.

Regards,

Peter G

I concur. I think the MGE is one of the best hobbyist websites on the internet and well worth the price of membership. I have bought and sold several MGs and lots of parts on this site, and it was always a painless experience. Thanks, Skye.

I vote yes. As a member of several other car forums, this one is the best. People talk and share information, and it's a great place.

Put your money where your mouth is and make it a bit better! thumbs up

This car is now very nearly completely done. Sure to find something else, but not now.........And 12 years later, I'm starting to fix things that were new when we built the car. It's pretty well de-bugged!

Some times just to you see somebody trying to do something difficult, it gives me the reasons to do it myself too.

Best value on the internet! Or anywhere for that matter.
I cant count how many times this site has saved me during my rebuild.

This website has been such a valuable tool for me. So many good ideas and sources of information from so many experienced and knowledgeable folks. I've been a Silver member now for a few years, and boy, have I got my money's worth!

Hats off to Skye for creating this information network, that has allowed all of us to benefit in some form or fashion.

Dollar for dollar...I've learned more here than in some college courses I took many years ago. Differential Calc...AGAIN???lol!

A real time reference library run by live people who work under REAL world situations...not the often seen sterile environments in some big name manuals. Invaluable to the casual owner and ardent hobbyist alike. Although there are differing styles, opinions, methods etc...everyone seems to genuinely try to get issues solved in order that we can spend more time driving and less time wrenching.

If you can afford to have one, restore/rehab/maintain/upgrade it...you can afford to support the people who allow us to have access to so much "free" info.

73 MGB. Tires: Round, black, hold air. Oil: Sometimes old, sometimes new...always slippery. Oil filter: Yellow, usually full of oil. Carbs: 2 SU HIF. Distributor: Yes. Headlights: Not that bright but bright enough. A bunch of other stuff most cars have but not really important enough to itemize. Oh, wait...it has a cool sounding exhaust with stickers on the chrome tips. Really slays the ladies...

I can only echo the good comments of the rest of you as to the value and the quality of answers to our novice questions. Many questions I have had are answered when another member asks and receives the answer to a problem I was having. Also when I wanted to purchase new carpet, panels, and seat covers, this is where I turned for info and suggestions and recommendations. I am on here every night. Thanks again to all for such great help.

Could not agree more.
I was a Gold member for years whilst restoring ITCH and building the trailer then dropped to Silver when I was not active. But recently I have been active over on the Modern MG Forum and now Skye is supporting the community by giving us the MG 2015 Forum having supported MG-2014 last year.

So I went back to Gold level too.

Thanks Skye
