Is the MGB Bottom Seat Frame Interchangable?

I recently purchased 1980 MGB Ltd. It came with what appear to be seats from 1965 when I match it up against photos on the internet. No head rest, two-bolt adjustment mechanism. But it also came with original seat backs with the head rest. I would like to know if I can rebuild the seats back to original using the 1980 seat backs on the 1965 seat bottoms, or do I need to find a set of 1980 seat bottom frames.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The bases are different. For one, the later frames have a loop for the seat back to latch onto.
Edit: here are some pics showing different seat frames so maybe that will help. The first is of a 62-67 seat frame. The second is a 1970, which uses the same base as a 1969. 1971 and later are similar to the 69-70 bases, ie they have to have a loop to lock the seat back to the base.

Frank,
I have the seats I removed from my 79B that I am not reusing, The driver's side has brand new foam and webbing. The passenger side is just a bare frame. I could separate the bottoms, since you have the backs.
PM me if you are interested.
