So I've recently purchased a 1967 Midget that hasn't run for roughly 10 years. It was borderline parts-car when bought it, some body issues, many mechanical issues. My intention is to restore it to running, then original state.

Last weekend, I was able to restore life to the motor, gearbox, and drive-train. Today, I've started on the body and chassis. Looking at the front of the frame, where the bumper-mounts should be, I came across the following (see photos)

Does anyone have pictures of what this area should look like or ideas about how to proceed from this point?

Chris, Moss sells those parts. Yours look pretty badly mangled so you might want buy a repair part to save trouble rebuilding them. They are identified as frame section frt, right and left. For as bad as yours' looks the $44 doesn't seem like a bad price. Can you do welding?

Thanks Larry. Hadn't realized Moss stocked these - that seems like the best way to go. My welding is acceptable, but since it's a frame repair, I think I'll leave this one to the professionals. I appreciate your help!

A brief follow up: I've started taking the bodywork apart to start off the restoration work. Given the state of the front frame rails, I was pleasantly surprised. Surprisingly little rust to be found - what there is is pretty superficial. I believe the car was originally red, so some of that looks like rust in these photos.
