The 1969 MGB I have purchased just had new floor pans installed. I will have to drill thru to install seat hardware. Is there a template for such work? Certain measurements if not?
You MG veterans here at the Experience always come thru and are happy to give advice. Thanks in advance!

And of course the fuel, brakes, and electrical lines under the passenger pan.
Pogo is right.

I installed some new seats in my MGB this summer. They are non-stock seats from the local pick-and-pull, so new mounting holes in the floor pans were in order. They went in very easily... here's how:
Flip your seat upside down. Get a piece of stiff cardboard large enough to cover all four seat holes. Mark or punch the cardboard through the holes.
Put the punched cardboard on the new floor pan. Locate one of the holes using the measurements in the drawing linked above in post #4 (wish I'd seen that when I did mine). Check to make sure the other holes conform to the appropriate measurements at the corners (so you'll know that the cardboard is lined up straight).
As mentioned above, be SURE you won't be drilling through brake lines or electrical cables under the floor, and also that the holes you drill at the front will clear the crossmember. Drill away! through the holes you made in the cardboard.
New grade 8 hardware and some nice big fender washers are a good idea to use when you bolt the seats in.
