Anyone know the difference between Sylvania H6024 basic (Halogen) and H6024 extra vision.(Halogen)
head lamp? Is the basic brighter than the original and the extra vision brighter than the basic? Anyone used these and can speak from experience. Thanks for you help.

I bought the cheap Sylvania H6024's from WalMart ($20/pr).

A little brighter than original.

I also installed Headlamp Relay Kit to cover extra current draw of Halogens.

Install relays, get H4 non sealed 7inch Hella lamps and never again think about sealed beamsgrinning smiley
Frankly not much difference in the sealed beams you are contemplating. Both are pale in comparison to the light and beam pattern of the Hella's

+1 on Rob's comment. Sealed beam technology pretty much stalled before WWII but were better than whale oil lamps on brass era cars. Get yourself a pair of H-4 lights - Hella, Cibie, or Lucas - and light up your life.

X2, anything with halogen is better than any old sealed beam.

I installed relays and 2 fuses, and put in GE halogens. I always drive with my light on (usually brights) and bulb burnt out in a few months. Sealed beam only 150 hrs as spec.

Replaced with Hella H-4 Much longer life, and easier & cheaper to replace.

Do the Chrome ring mod if working on lights.
