HIF carbs on MGA

Hi Gil.
Not me, but my '59 was fitted with HS4 carbs from an MGB. If you like the HIF carbs, there is no reason why they couldn't be used.
I ended up trading the HS4 carbs to Lloyd Faust, who bought a '79 MGB that had been fitted with H4s ???? We were both happy with the swap.

Given the same fuel metering needle, no functional difference at all. The H4 is more likely to drip from the bottom, while the HS is more likely to break a plastic tube. And there is a different kind of fiddle to do the linkage adjustments.
