Once again, the meet up at Amity, Oregon did not disappoint!

We had (correct me Rod) what I believe is a record # of LBCs this year with a whopping 13! Not a bad showing considering this is historically a "Non-British Only" event.

We sure missed Woody but he did give it the ole college try to make it.

Here are some pics I took (I'm using Imgur for this and hope it works).

Thanks to all who attended - it was great sy Meeing everyone! (sorry Mike Jr... your mug ended up out of camera shot.... every.....time. But I got your "good side" -- your car! moon LOL!

I already have an MG...I'd REALLY like to have that old Bronco though! Looks like a great time out in the woods of western Oregon though. Miss the PacNorWest on days like that!

73 MGB. Tires: Round, black, hold air. Oil: Sometimes old, sometimes new...always slippery. Oil filter: Yellow, usually full of oil. Carbs: 2 SU HIF. Distributor: Yes. Headlights: Not that bright but bright enough. A bunch of other stuff most cars have but not really important enough to itemize. Oh, wait...it has a cool sounding exhaust with stickers on the chrome tips. Really slays the ladies...

Lou, there were 13 MGs, and several more LBCs. Nick's Healey 3000, a red Sprite, a blue TR6, and that blue XKE.

Also a bit of extra excitement when an ancient oak tree limb fell and broke a power pole and blew a transformer right by the park! Fortunately no cars or people harmed.

They were working on changing that transformer when I left Amity. Would have been about two PM.

Going through the neighborhood leaving, I was going to run a stop sign (I tend to do that). Every cop in Amity was standing on the corner.

Full and legal stop!

This car is now very nearly completely done. Sure to find something else, but not now.........And 12 years later, I'm starting to fix things that were new when we built the car. It's pretty well de-bugged!

Thanks for the pics guys.
That really was a great park for a car show.
I like to think I will make it back up one of these summers.

Your name came up, Paul, and good things were said about you, but I forgot to do the toast I promised. If you make it back up, we can toast in person!

Wayne, Bonnie and I just walked over to the park and the limb is cut up and piled along side the street, the lines repaired, and the street open. I predict the city will be having some trees inspected...beautiful, but potentially deadly!

The T-Bird below belongs to a friend and former neighbor's father-in-law. It has sixty some thousand miles and I think he said It's a 62 with original paint and interior.

Thanks Rod. You did not have to tell me you forgot the toast lol.
So maybe next year. After all Dave drives all the way down here for the Marina show, which I also missed this year right in my own back yard.

My little brother had that vintage T Bird back in the day, but back in the day it still didn't look that good.

Glad there was a British car contingency there, so much more interesting than American Metal. More style too.

It would have been nice to be there, but I was watching my baby girl all weekend as my wife had a few days out of town to visit some family. We had a great time nevertheless and took a good walk today in the sunshine, my little baby girl got a couple of JoJo's at the grocery store and she loved them!

My British car event is next Saturday July 30th, from 8:30 to 2:30, I would love everybody to attend it's going to be great!

Easy going, friendly guys, and all British cars. I know most everybody on here has never attended except for Dave Walsh which I really appreciate he always volunteers and helps me every year, it'd be nice for some of the guys to finally come, this is the seventh year I've done it! Hope to see you guys there. Thanks, Dan

But Dan, can you arrange an ancient 18" in diameter oak tree branch to fall and blow up a transformer, and make a big explosion with a bunch of smoke, like we had in Amity today? winking smiley

Yo Rod! Did the tree fall and crush your car? You can now finally paint the thing, and a get a personalized plate that says, MGTree.
