Look on the Moss website. I think they have a full write up on this, complete with pictures.

Not easy to find on their website: but easy to find on Google. Simply type MG Generator to Alternator conversion into the search bar and you will find it and many sites with instructions.

This is also a good one which I used: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/electric/ac101.htm Good luck smiling smiley

I don't know if the 70 Midget is significantly different than a '66 Sprite, but maybe these pics will help. Some show the modification to the "control box."

All these seem to use the same older style regulator . The regulator in the car Im working on is the later square one with 6 terminals and marked
E D WL F B with two wires attached to B The color coding doesnt line up with it either.

Keith, If you have the square regulator it is the style called by Lucas RB340. Not many Midgets had that one, but a few did, so don't panic. Most Midgets and all MGAs had RB106 style with a wire bail holding the rounded cover on.

If you want instructions for a conversion, you might do better pretending you have an MGB and asking that bunch.

Good luck.
