Cops keep us safe, cops have hard and very stressful jobs. You should respect the badge and gun, they do a very hard job. I want more police on the streets to keep us safe, in fact I want military patrols on our streets. To go even further to keep us even safer, I want a cop in every home. In the video I attached, this is what I want our brave men and women of law enforcement to act like... you have a brake light out, **** it man, you broke the law, I'm sending 7 at point blank into you, with total disregard for your child and girl... you know why? I won't be found guilty of anything... you see, THIS is AmeriKa... this is the new way.... I'm growing tired of your police bashing posts... you should lick the boot or move to a lawless place like Somolia... police deserve respect, adoration, like the liberators of Iraq, we should shower them in chocolates and flowers.... they keep YOU safe.

It all depends on the training of the police officer. If they have poor training items like this could happen. First mistake this officer made was his position. He should have stood beside the car aft of the drivers window as not to put himself in the line of fire. Second was when the driver of the car informed him he had in his possession a firearm (as regarded by law). The police officer should had asked where that firearm was. On his person or where in the car. But he didn't when the drive reached for his wallet the officer assumed the driver was reaching for the gun. He jumped the gun on this. This officer of the law was not trained. All he heard was gun.

Yes they are our protection but some people should not carry a gun or a badge. You want the best train people and those that can handle any situation that arises on the job.

the problem with our police are not the bad apples, it's the rest of the force covering up for the bad apples.

not that it matters, since police are hardly ever convicted of crimes. but when they are convicted, penalties should be more severe due to the fact they are abusing the power entrusted to them. kinda like penalties for crimes against police are more severe than penalties for crimes against us common folk.

sorry Osmonds, one bad apple does ruin the bunch.

Sorry, this may not be the most popular position to take...but...cops don't keep you safe. I know you are shaking your head in disbelief... case and point. 2am... 2 guys break in through a window while you are sleeping.... who is keeping you safe? You ride the subway, which I do everyday, and a sewer rat decides to grab at you, who is protecting you? The 85 pound Asian lady? I have seen enough crap in the subway that many of you in your utopian bubbles would never imagine. Now tell me... there is no cop, you have no phone signal... the next stop is 8 blocks down... what do you do? I don't rely on anyone to keep me safe, that is my job. In these cases police are after the fact characters.... you are responsible, and I train and have for nearly 30 years and I am very keen and observant of my surroundings... I may dress in a suit... but when it's on it's on and there isn't going to be a uniformed, steroided, trigger happy, jarheaded high school dropout by my side... as a side note I played 10 years in a police athletic league men's basketball league. I know them very well. A cop can get away with saying... he reached for a wallet, I felt my life was in danger and get off... we on the other hand can't say a gun was pointed at me..I felt my life was in danger... you police apologists may in fact get what you want.... and be careful for what you wish........ * typing on my cell on a train out of the city... I don't care about spelling or grammar...
