I am new to the list.I am trying to install new wheel bearings on a 1967 Midget. I got tapered bearings from Moss. The inner bearing won't fit on the axle. Can anyone help?

I'd start by calling Moss and verifying if the numbers on the bearings you received are correct.
If you mean that the inner radius is wrong, there have been numerous tomes written here and elsewhere on that subject. search front wheel bearings.... grab an adult beverage first and put on your engineer's hat. The consensus is that it is possible to buy bearings that do not have the correct radius. I would be surprised if Moss is consciously supplying the incorrect version.

The inner bearings should be 30205, with a 25mm bore. I found on mine that there was a very small lip where the axle enlarges from the small part to the large, inner part. Alignment was very important, just slightly off and it won't fit. I also found that placing the assembled hub on as far as it will go, I could use the bearing spacer and a deep socket to gently tap the bearing on. It should be a very snug fit, but don't force it if it's not going.

From the latest post I think I have the right bearing. Mine is 30205-2C. Would that be the same?

Yeah, that should be correct. The 30205 is the size, 2C is a reference to something about the construction.

I actually assembled my own kit because Moss was out of them at the time. Fortunately, all of the numbers were visible in the product photos.

I have the bearing number. Could I just go to a bearing supplier for the bearing? I only need the inner not the whole kit.

This is the one I used for an inner bearing: http://amzn.to/2gxyrOc. The title says "Wheel Bearing Race", but it is in fact the whole bearing.

For the outer bearing, I used http://amzn.to/2hjDFvJ (just in case anyone else is looking for it).
