At this point in time factory tools are as collectable as the cars or more so and much rarer. As you don't mention what bushings, it is hard to say but there is a tool for everything which may or may not be an offical BMC factory tool. Bushing drivers are pretty common, step reaming king pins is best left to the pros with the proper tool (I do those too). Suspension bushings can be installed in a vice, large pump pliers, C clamps, threaded rod and slide hammer, etc.

I do not have any special tools and with a little thinking it is not necessary for anything in the MGC with the exception of the diff.
Special tools were mainly for Dealers Workshops where skill in somewhat limited [with lots of different cars] and time is EVERYTHING.
I had my front king pin bushes reamed by a skilled machine shop and the bushes were reamed individually to a .001" tolerance, we fitted the assembly with no end play but easy movement over the required angles. I filled up everything with a good Moly grease and I have had it this way for decades [new king pins and bushes were fitted] and there is NO rattle on corrugated gravel roads even after this time. Another factory under development blunder.
I occasionally grease the suspension with Moly grease. There is almost NO play with the wheel off the ground even after this time.
I think with the excessive play the suspension flogged the bushes to death.
The machine shop man said that the NORMAL tolerance for a 1" shaft running in "Plumber Block" bearings is .001". He could not understand the .0025" to .0035" clearances provided by the factory special reamer tool.
I can only comment based on actual driving road use. When the car was under warranty the BMC dealer was unable to fix the serious rattle in the front left. After greasing it only remained rattle free for 500 miles. It remained that way until the bushes were reamed to a normal tolerance.
Bruce.

Of course there are many sources for tools, but I enjoy browsing e-bay looking for old tools that were designed for our old cars.
For bushings, an example is:
E-Bay Snap On Bushing Driver
I got one of these for $50 USD, not as pretty as the ones for 200-400 ;-)
