The engine I’m working on has a Mallory Dual Point
Distributor. Part # 2332001.
Points, Rotor, and Cap seem to be a little on the pricey side.
Where can I find economical priced parts?
Or, is there a solid state option I should consider?
Kevin

Install a 25D4 cheaper in the long and short run. And greater performance when recurved by Advanced

There are no economical Mallory parts.
However the quality is good if that is any consolation.

I'm a big fan of the Mallory dual-point distributor. Mallory designs their distributors so that replacement parts like points, rotor, etc. fit many applications like Fords and Chevys. As such you can get parts, usually overnight, from any of the auto parts chains -- Autozone, Advance Auto, etc. As for the condenser, don't buy a Mallory; rather, just ask for a condenser for a 60's-70's GM V-8. Just a couple of bucks, and works just fine with the external mounting on the Mallory...

That's essentially a race distributor that will need to be rebuilt every 3 years to keep in in relatively decent tune. The Pertronix kit works ok in that distributor.

Dick x2. If you ever find that one side is crapping out, stick a match book cover between the point contacts and you can get home. Old Hemis used to have dual point systems also. But then, I'm an Aries.

Consider summitracing.com for Mallory replacement parts. If the Mallory Dual-point is too expensive for you, sell it to me.

Be safe out there.
