Hello,

Can anyone out there give me a advice of where to secure my engine hoist to the drive train for removal?

Thanks

Most use the studs for the valve cover.

Most are comfortble with a leveling bar attached to the tappet cover bolts with bolt adapters to ensure bolts remain in tension without bending stress.

I personally wouls prefer rear manifold bolt and front cover bolt on opposite side. I prefer the botls in shear wherever possible.

Note - opinion only as I have not pulled the MGB engine before, but have pulled others.

I also like bolts in shear. Top RH rear plate to block bolt and LH front exhaust manifold bolt/stud. The one at the rear is 3/8" and beneficial especially when pulling engine and trans together as that bolt takes a high% of the load.
