So there are not many A-H Sprites being sold in Nashville except a project car by my friend, since sold. I just spotted this one on Nashville Craigslist--

Jeez you'd think for that price they would show photos of the engine and what's the deal with those AutoZone seat covers? Wheels don't have the right offset either, to my eyes. Maybe the dealer can't figure out how to open the hood?

Meh. Pass.

I'll take the Austin Clubman over this beast. This dealer has a lot of nice stuff but strangely located in a bad part of town. All the stuff done to this Sprite are the things I would never do to a 65 Sprite. Cut out the rear wheel arches…maybe. 289 Ford power? Period-correct but not my cup of tea. Stereo with added subwoofers consuming dash and rear bulkhead? I'm not into that while driving, maybe for parking at the cruise-in. And…again….what's up with the florescent blue seat covers?

David,
i concur, i would never hack up a 65... a 79 on the other hand i would cut and weld the hell out of.
big engine small car is great if you have a drivable car when finished, not thinking this one would be fun to drive.

Would be nice to have a manual transmission. Spridgets weren't really meant to be be cruisers but that's how I feel.
