Photo shows my clutch slave, the spring is the one the PO added as a hold back and he also added a nut to the end of the push rod.Question is does the new push rod go through the rubber cup on the slave or does it sit against the cup,the fork seems to be straight and not deformed at all.

Steve, the rod does go thru the dust seal. The nut was more than likely added to try to get more motion out of a worn out clutch.

Wasn't sure the hole at the back of the seal looked a little tight for the rod to go through it,but that's how it will go in thanks

Get hold of a Moss catalog and get the correct push rod for your car. Besides the jury rigged nut that rod looks too short.

Kurt.

Kurt.

Both the new and old push rod are 2 11/16 E-C and 3" E-E,is it the correct length for a 71 1275?

OK, looks are deceiving. The nut is definitely wrong.

I knew the nut was backwoods engineering, and 2 11/16 E-C seems to be the correct length?
