Has anyone measured how far the throwout bearing moves after it touches the pressure plate pad until the clutch begins to dis-engage? i am interested in the motion along the axis of the input shaft, not the arc it makes as it is bears pressure on the pressure plate pad.

1/4"? 3/8"? 1/2"? more? Less?

I am sure there are variations depending on the health of the clutch disk and pressure plate. I just need a nominal figure.

I haven't figure out to have my foot on the clutch pedal and have my eyes look at the movement of the throwout bearing!

Thanks all for any reply.

John

Movement is according to LuK, a german company, 7mm for the 1275 pressure plate.

What clutch do you have?

How many mm does your slave pushrod move from end to end?

What size of slave/master do you have?

Cheers,
Wolf

Thank you for the information. It will be helpful to me.

I have a 1275 engine and drivetrain.

I will have to find out the master and slave diameters. I believe the slave is 1" diameter.

Thanks again,

John
