Several years ago, the former MG office block was renovated into "flats". During the renovation, a false wall was found and removed, revealing Cecil Kimbers private inner-office. It was recognized immediately as Kimber's long lost MG roll-a-pad, on which he sketched all the earliest MGs. Few realize that MGs were small mainly due to the small square size of the paper Kimber was fond of using. This piece of memorbilia is therefore intrinsically linked the MG lore.
Kimber's MG Roll-a-Pad is due to be auctioned later this month at Christies. I understand the partially used original note pad refill is currently with a paper conservator. (This type of paper is know for sudden browning when exposed to some common every day material. Or common twice a day material). The aftermarket replacement paper is for the staged photograph only. The item includes a section of pea green wall on which is was originally mounted.
Anyone with additional information should feel free to share it with us.

The whole idea of this has suddenly "constipated" my brain. Let me get off my throne, call my Charmin Field Rep. and take some more Gas-X. I'll get right back to you!!

You have not lived till you have used a roll called KILOMETER.
This was sold in Belgium when I was living there in 1958.
It was so rough it could have been used as rust remover on cast iron.
We used to say that was how high you jumped when using it.

We call that "John Wayne" toilet paper; it's rough and tough and doesn't take crap off of anyone!
