Very happy with the progress on the 79 MGB CB conversion! Also happy to to have a 72 MGB donor for all the bits and pieces I need.

While I was at it, I refurbished the 72 steering wheel from my donor car and added to the 79... much better!

Continued work on the front turn signal openings. Hope to be done tomorrow. Pics to come.

Love the wheel change. I also like that red piping on the seats.

Is that a direct steering wheel swap, or did you use an adapter?

Looks good, John. I did the conversion on my '79 B V8.

Keep the photos coming.

Frank, I found a thread in the forum that helped me get both wheels off and it said they were direct swaps accept for the hub. The original hub (in my case, from the 72) could be used (same spline), but if I wanted the turn signals to self cancel, then I'd have two options. Get an LE hub and use the sheering wheel from the 72, or modify the 72 hub by adding some tabs to do the job. I chose option 2, and am working that issue now.

Hope all is well Frank. If I remember correctly, you were planning on an OD? Did you get one? If not, my donor car has one...

Thanks for the info, John.

I have an OD. I expect to put it in sometime after the new year in Feb.
