Bought a new dash pad for my 78 roadster from Moss - 1st mistake, when removing the tachometer from the dash the plastic on the back of the housing broke and the wires are now disconnected. Does anyone know which wire goes to the spade terminal and which goes to the bullet? Also while handling and looking around, the green wire inside also came off. See attached photo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

ps on the dash pad
Shouldn't the pad actually fit the frame...a little trimming of the foam - no problem, but in order for the pad to fit correctly, the metal backing frame would have to be modified!!!
It seems really wrong to me that I now have to re-install the plastic cover top piece to cover up a very ill fitting product.

Mike,

There's been a recent thread on installing the new dash pads. Shouldn't be too far down the list.

Apparently the "new" pads don't fit as well as previous models. Moss is working on the quality issues.

I've done 4 pads over the years and have had no problems with the fit. My only issue was not getting one pad lined up correctly before cutting out the gauge holes. It was only off by a tiny amount but sure made a difference.

I ended up doing that dash project over with a new pad.
