It occurred to me this morning that if I intend to make my annual trip to Baltimore and Rhode Island this Christmas, I really need to get the rear main seal fixed. So, tomorrow, I will pull the engine and check out the situation. I already have a new seal and a Speedy Sleeve ordered from Basil about a month ago, so it should not be a real big deal. I will also be ordering a set of venturies for the Weber to replace the one that inexplicably allowed the jet to rotate 180 degrees and have addressed the alternator problem, so I should be good to go.

Also just received a new Robbins top from Tops On Line yesterday, so it is gonna be a full weekend.

When ever anyone says "not a big deal" they have alerted the gods to bring pestilence, plague, and snapped off studs upon thyselfangry smiley

It will take longer to make the Robbins top fit properly than the other planned tasks...smoking smiley

Well, the engine has been out twice before, so I doubt there will be any broken bolts or studs. Not like this car is a virgin. Been running it pretty hard for four years.
