In order from best to worst, how would you rank the various styles of stock crankshafts?

It seems I asked the same type of question quite some time ago.

I believe the answers I got, were:

For the performance guys, flat sided forged.

For a smooth running street engine, bell shaped cast.

Chris, here's a thread from over in the motorsports forum that may not answer specifically, but is a great thread.

Chris for a street engine, the answer I would give you, is any of the three 5 main cranks work fine. I guess racers would tell you then middle year "flat side" steel crank is their favorite, I kinda agree with this, it has the worse counter throw design, but that design does allow for the most material to be removed in lightening job, not really a concern for a street engine. The later cast crank gets the least love, but is the best design of the bunch, if it were a steel crank like the two earlier cranks, it would be the favorite of the racers.
