I picked up this item while on my way back from the East Coast, anyone know how it works? My understanding is that it's a very useful item and somewhat hard to find.

Here's my real answer which will explain why I am very jealous.
On Saturday I installed a set of Mike Satur lowering pins in my MGF which meant draining the fluid out of the Hydragas system.
I got one side half pumped up when my grease gun Hydragas pump crapped out. Seems the O-rings in the pump had hardened, probably from
years of exposure to the fluid. (At this point Ralph will say, "I told you to buy a better pump!)
Realising what my odds were of finding the proper size O-rings on a Sunday I ripped apart my grease gun and converted it to a pump.
Ever tried to remove the grease from a grease gun and make it clinically clean? One word...Aaaargh!
In the end I got it sorted out and got the suspension pumped up. Woo-Hoo!
Sure wish I had a Dalek!
BTW: Just took the car out for a test drive to get the suspension settled and did the final hydragas adjustment. It's now sitting at 345mm and has lost that
AWD look. I did fill up with gas while I was out and it cost $80.01 (49.417L) to fill the tank. I remember the good ol days when you could fill an MGB, which had about the same size tank for $5.00 Gawd I'm Old!

I think the problem you are having is you should connect it to the car not the bicycle tire!

The connector is different that what I was expecting, it doesn't have a piece to tighten onto the schrader valve. I'm not sure how to connect it to the F's schrader valve.

That's quite the nasty looking connector!
I would be inclined to just buy a low-loss connector like this one...
E-Bay Hydro Connector
I would also be inclined to replace the hose with a fine nylon hose as found on the E-Bay grease-gun type pumps. Less chance of it scraping
the paint and the heavy hose really isn't needed for hobby use.

Mark, that is the same 'tool' that was used to work on the cannisters fit to the MG Liquid Suspension Indy cars. Took me 3 years to actually find one at the time. I believe they were a factory 'tool' for the BMC Hydrolastic Suspension cannisters.... We used it to evacuate the chambers, then pump it with the proper fluids.... had a nice complement of gauges, hoses, decals, manual...... By the way I am now south of Chicago, trailering the 2 Sebring GTs to race in the 60th Collier Cup, Watkins Glen......wahoo!

I wish I could make it down to the Glen to see the races but unfortunately I have to work that weekend. Fortunately shutdowns don't happen every year.
I figured out how the attachment works: push the rusty-looking circular bit upwards, push it on to the schrader valve and then push the rusty-looking but down to clamp onto the valve.

Is "rusty--looking circular bit" engineering terminology????? I think your ring may be on too tight!!

I try not to use engineering terminology with the common folk; I try to keep words below three syllables when certain people are part of the target audience, for instance left coasters.

This pump is FANTASTIC! Six pumps and the suspension went up a full 1-1/2". Definitely worth locating one.
