1979 MGB footwell kick plates??

1968 Mini 1275GT "MINI MARCOS GT."
1979 MG MGB MkIV "Sarah"
I have removed the old saggy kick plates/panels. There are 3 bolts in a vertical line behind these panels.
One is missing on passenger side. What are they for ??

Maybe a mount for the map pocket? That's where mine was/is located.

These are more substantial bolts that are holding something behind the kickplate wall.

They, alone with several other bolts above those panels, are part of the fastener regime for the fenders.

You might want to make sure the nut on the fender still exists and is in working order.
If not, don't sweat it. The fender is quite well attached.

The GT and Roadster connections differ up by the A-pillar (GT) / windscreen mount (Roadster).
